Historic Brookhaven, one of Atlanta’s classic neighborhoods, is situated at the northeastern edge of Buckhead beyond Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza, just south of Oglethorpe University’s beautiful campus. The majestic neighborhood was thoughtfully designed over a century ago to incorporate long, winding roads and beautiful homes atop rolling hills on large tracts of land. Capital City Country Club sits at the heart of Historic Brookhaven, which is on the National Register of Historic Places as the “first planned golf club community in Georgia.” The club’s golf course and lake is surrounded by some of the neighborhood’s most architecturally outstanding homes. Wonderfully renovated Tudor, Colonial, Georgian and English cottages abound as well as new construction designed to compliment the old styles. Some of Atlanta’s finest shopping and dining is located in this area, and the Brookhaven Marta station provides great access to all that Atlanta has to offer.
